Telecom FM Cellroute GPRS

The Telecom FM CellRoute GPRS is a single SIM Analogue GSM Fixed Cellular Gateway Terminal that has been developed to enable major network operators to provide Fixed Wireless Access to emerging markets around the world.

In the UK, the Telecom FM has been popular with business users to enable connection of their Telephone System to the Mobile Phone Network to make savings on fixed to mobile phone calls.  This has been possible due to the availability of low cost and cross network mobile phone tariffs and bundles making the use of SIM cards in GSM Gateways such as the Cellroute GPRS an easy way to make savings in business telephone costs.

In countries where having a fixed line is either an expensive option or network infrastructure does not exist, the CellRoute can provide fixed line functionality over the GSM network.

CellRoute provides users with high quality voice using EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) codecs and has a data link rate of up to 85.6kbps using GPRS for Email and Internet access.

The CellRoute can be self-installed by the end user, making the provisioning cycle simple and reducing costs for the network operator.

The unit has integrated batteries to cater for mains power outages. 11 hours of standby time is provided with a talk time of up to 2 hours.
